about
I am many things – writer, musician, mother, friend, wife, frustrated actress, cook, photographer, art-lover, gardener, dream-listener, novice runner, nose-wiper, and band-aid-putter-on-er. I’ve finally completed my book – and am now smack in the middle of query-writing/getting-ahold-of-a-potential-agent/figuring-out-what-in-God’s-name-to-do-next zaniness.
Aside from this confounded book project, my current works in progress include yet *another* book of fiction, a book of essays and poetry, and a plan for a CD featuring all the songs that allusively, yet incessantly, swish around in my head.
Suffice to say, I’m interested in a multitude of things, which might cause a lack of focus – one might think. But, really, it just makes for a more vibrant and creative life. At least, I’d like to think so. (Shhh. Just please, please go along with me on this one).
In all actuality, I would just be happy to have some land, along with some goats, chickens, guinea hens, bees, cats, dogs, and our two children, (not necessarily in that order), while I sip spiked apple cider and write gorgeous novels, stories, essays, and poetry – my husband spending his days playing guitar and making furniture, amps, guitars, and anything else he pleases. Oh, and also? A place in the city, please. It’s not too much to ask, is it?
I thought not.
